Current standing after the christmas season

So yeah, I have been having a break in the recent days due to the Christmas holidays. I have been spending my time with my family, rather than playing Minecraft, so this is why I have not posted any updates recently.

Although I have not played Minecraft enough in the recent days to be able to make a proper progress post, I still wanted to post about my current standing in my survival world. It turns out I may have taken way more over my head than I can cope with, because at the current moment I am officially broke. I have been able to do something that for over a year have seemed impossible. I have run out of glass. Over the course of the past year, I have been continously stockpiling my glass reserves, but with all my new builds requiring a ton of glass, I have not been able to keep up the production, and with my newest greenhouse, I spent the last blocks of glass that I had available in my stockpile. I still have an emergency reserve over at my major tree farm, but these reserves are meant for my tree farm when the day comes to build the glass cube around, and as such I will not take any glass from here to restock at my primary base.

My shortage of glass means I will not be able to continue my builds until I can find more sand to melt. I have a huge supply of sand readily available, and out of sight, underneath my giant tree farm. The only problem is to transport it all from the quarry, to my smeltery. A oneway trip which takes around 8minutes to complete. So yeah, I have a lot of work to do.

I will continue making progress on my builds that does not require glass at the moment, and will also finish the frame work of my new observation tower for my town. So do not worry, there will be more updates coming up as I move along.

I will update with screenshots when I find myself ready to show off my progress.

I hope you have all had a fantastic Christmas season, and wish you all a happy new year.

- Mattias.
