Getting back to business

Yes, I have finally been able to return to Minecraft at full power and with full strength. Obviously, getting back into Minecraft after about 6months can be a challenge, and for me, that is the fact that a number of my farms have stopped functioning properly with the addition of 1.13. It is really annoying, because it has seriously affected my builds and designs. The most notable consequence of this is the fact that I am forced into only using stone and other pickaxe-related blocks, which I can mine with my pickaxe which at the moment is the only tool I have which is not down on the red in terms of durability. I have tried a couple of times already to repair my EXP farm, but so far it has all been only failures. I am planning on completely renovating my EXP farm as a result of this, but at the moment I am in no mood to do so, as I would much rather expand upon my world. But like I said, the consequence of this is that all my new builds are either built from stone, or any other material I can get my hands on that relies on the pickaxe. On builds which I am expanding, I am working on incorporating stone into the design to the best of my capabilities. Its annoying, but thats just how it is at the moment.

Problems aside though, I have finally been able to make significant progress on my projects. I have been able to lay out the foundation for a village I have been planning to build for over a year now, and are currently working on connecting it to my transportation network. The walkway was finished months ago, but I still got left to connect it via my minecart system. I have also built three experimental towers, in which I have tried out new types of towers for my world. Theres nothing fancy going on, because I want everything to be simplistic, but I am satisfied with my current progress, and thats really I for one care about. I am not really a fan of the degree of detail that alot of players demand from their builds, so I prefer to do it the simple way, with few details, yet with a design that I find to look good.

Screenshots though, speaks more than a thousand words, so I am attaching a few screenshots below here.

Hope to see you around sometime later for more updates!

An overview screenshot from my current progress with the towers. This screenshot is kind of outdated though, as it was taken before I began expanding my transportation network out into this region.

Looking up on my transportation network from the ground. Those who have read my blog for a long time may notice that this build has been affected by my EXP farm shutting down, because usually I would birch wood for this thing right here, but without the appropriate tools, I have decided to switch to chiseled stone blocks.

An experimental phase of my village. Nothing fancy really, but its something, and Im happy with it.

A closer look of my experimental towers. These are meant more as design tryouts, rather than anything else.
